Jeff Kuhn

Jeff is a Co-Founder and the Managing Partner of FLG Partners and member of the Firm’s management committee. He has nearly 40 years of operational, financial and capital markets experience in investment banking, financial services, and technology companies. He has built particular expertise in the technology sector, as CFO of and consultant to companies in the software, design services, electro-optical, and telecommunications sectors, with significant international experience in Japan, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. In addition to leading GoGrid’s Board of Directors, Jeff is a member of the Board of Directors of the Silicon Valley Directors’ Exchange and SVForum. He has a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Davis.

Karl Jacob

Founder & CEO, Hangtime

Karl is a five-time entrepreneur who has been building, advising, and investing in companies for the last 18 years. He is the Founder and CEO of Hangtime, building a way for consumers to see their friends’ social plans. During his career, Karl has raised more than $200 million from prestigious investors including Microsoft, eBay, Integral Partners, Norwest Ventures, Greylock, Benchmark Capital, FT Ventures, Ignition Partners, and Vulcan Ventures. He started four companies, taking them from no revenue to positive outcomes. One of his companies, Dimension X, was acquired by Microsoft in 1997, and another, Keen/Ingenio, was acquired by AT&T in 2007. His other two companies—Coveroo and Cloudmark—are profitable and generating substantial revenue. While CEO, Jacob has generated more than $300 million in returns to investors and more than $150 million in revenue per year. He was an early advisor to Facebook and currently advises several companies. He is also a prolific angel investor whose investments include Path, Healthtap, Skillshare, Badgeville, and many others. Karl holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California Engineering School where he sits on the Board of Counselors.

As a senior executive, advisor, investor, and board member, Avery has worked with both large and small technology companies with a consistent goal of driving high growth. He founded Blueprint Growth Partners to work with breakthrough companies and maximize their value. Avery is on the board of Qubell (accelerated software deployment), led sales and business development for Makara (Red Hat Openshift, sold to Red Hat), and was Chairman of Angstro (social networking, sold to Google). He is an advisor to Nor1 (hospitality upsell technology) and was an advisor to AppFog (Java/PHP cloud platform) before their acquisition by Savvis. Prior to founding Blueprint Growth Partners, Avery was the CEO of two venture-backed startups—Digisense and Linuxcare—focused respectively on cloud computing and virtualization. He was on the founding team of IBM’s x86 server business and ran product management as that business grew from inception to $1.4B. Avery is a mentor at Founder Institute and has lectured at Stanford, Silicon Valley Bank’s CEO Accelerator, Alliance of CEOs, and several other forums. He continues to work to foster entrepreneurship and is Chairman Emeritus of Silicon Valley’s Churchill Club. He has an M.S. in Computer Engineering.

Eric is the Founder and CEO of WideOrbit, the leading provider of advertising management solutions for large media companies. Prior to founding WideOrbit, Eric worked at Montgomery Securities in San Francisco and New York, managing portfolios for wealthy technologists, and for Kidder Peabody in Palo Alto, primarily focused on Equity Derivatives. Eric has been an active private equity technology investor since 1994 and maintains controlling ownership of WideOrbit. Prior to WideOrbit, Eric was an early investor in Infospace, Xoom (NBCi), CommerceBid (Commerce One), and OpenTable.com.
