GoGrid's API which can fully control all aspects of a customer's cloudcenter was released under a Creative Commons ShareAlike license at the beginning of 2009. Microsoft's recently released Web Platform Installer is the powerful package that allows web developers and sysadmins to deploy tools, servers and technologies quickly and easily in server environment. The GoGrid cloudcenter can now be controlled using a 3rd party PowerShell Snap-in. PowerShell is an extensible command-line shell and scripting language that is now fully included in Windows Server 2008. Developer Mitch Denny has created a Snap-in that utilizes the open-sourced GoGrid API to manage the GoGrid infrastructure within a Windows environment.
