The GoGrid API is a web service that allows developers and tech-savvy individuals to control their interaction with GoGrid's cloud hosting infrastructure. The GoGrid API provides programmatic communication for managing your cloud infrastructure. Typical API use cases include auto-scaling cloud server networks, listing assigned public and private IP addresses, deleting cloud servers, and listing billing details—just to name a few.
The GoGrid API specification is now available under a Creative Commons Sharealike license, allowing any cloud computing service provider to build a compatible API based on this OpenSpec. Tools based on this OpenSpec standard can be used to control the GoGrid platform, as well as the products of any other compatible cloud computing providers.
GoGrid's REST-like API Query interface is designed for individuals who want to programmatically control their cloud hosting infrastructure over the internet. Using the GoGrid API requires technical know-how and programming skills. To access the GoGrid API you must be an active GoGrid customer.
Active GoGrid customers have full access to the GoGrid API. For details, read our Getting Started with the GoGrid API guide. If you are new to GoGrid you can begin by creating a GoGrid account or calling 877.9.GO.GRID to speak with a sales representative.
