GoGrid CEO to Discuss Fast and Easy Big Data Orchestration at the 2014 Open Business Conference

Open Orchestration Movement Enables Companies to Quickly Evaluate and Deploy Best-of-Breed Technologies

San Francisco, Calif. — April 29, 2014 — GoGrid, the leader in Open Data Services (ODS), is pleased to announce that its CEO, John Keagy, will speak about how companies can gain greater value from Big Data projects through open orchestration at the upcoming Open Business Conference. The discussion, “Orchestrating Big Data,” will take place on May 5 at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco.

Also on Monday, May 5, GoGrid and Basho, one of its first ODS partners, will co-host The Future of Open Source Fiesta featuring a Cinco de Mayo happy hour in San Francisco. This tech meet-up provides an opportunity for attendees to network with and learn from leading open-source companies driving the Open Data Services movement.

“Organizations are quickly realizing that the opportunity cost of time lost dealing with deployment issues for Big Data projects can be significant,” said GoGrid CEO John Keagy. “With open orchestration and advanced infrastructure purpose-built for Big Data, companies can now get started in the right direction on best-of-breed technologies at the push of a button.”

In his session, Keagy will explain how a fast-growing solutions library of on-demand blueprints and free orchestration as a service can simplify technology rollouts in a single cloud, across multiple clouds, on-premise, or any combination of these locations. He’ll also provide a preview of OpenOrchestration.org, an industry destination site with the goal of developing the world’s first open orchestration service that is cloud and technology agnostic.

Offering the only cloud infrastructure purpose-built for Big Data, GoGrid enables companies that leverage Big Data technologies to grow as rapidly as needed. Companies from a wide range of industries, including advertising, eCommerce, and healthcare, depend on the massive scalability, speed, and reliability delivered by Big Data technologies on GoGrid’s infrastructure.
