GoGrid Expands Management Team with New Engineering, Marketing, and Sales Executives
San Francisco, Calif. - December 4, 2012 - GoGrid, a leading cloud infrastructure company, today announced that it has appointed three new executives to its management team: Heather McKelvey as Vice President of Engineering, Bryta Schulz as Vice President of Marketing, and Dave R. Smith as Vice President of Global Sales. They each bring more than 20 years of industry experience to their new roles, adding significant depth and breadth to GoGrid's leadership.

As VP of Engineering, Heather McKelvey is responsible for delivering GoGrid‘s innovative cloud platform and services. "As a cloud services provider with more than 6 years' experience, GoGrid has extensive expertise in building a scalable, reliable infrastructure-as-a-service platform," said McKelvey. "We focus on adding resilient, transparent new services so customers can better manage their platforms that run on GoGrid's cloud. McKelvey spent much of the dot-com boom at Netscape/AOL leading the teams that successfully delivered new enterprise products and launched new Internet services. She was subsequently VP Engineering & Support at MarketLive, an innovative eCommerce platform. Most recently, she was VP Engineering & Operations at Mashery, the leading API management provider, delivering a multitenant SaaS platform running in the cloud across multiple global data centers.
Bryta Schulz, GoGrid's VP of Marketing, is responsible for the company's global market strategies and go-to-market initiatives. "I'm passionate about exploring how to adapt traditional marketing to new, disruptive markets," Schulz said. "The cloud enables entrepreneurs to take ideas and launch successful companies. My goal is to help those companies fully realize the power of the cloud for their customers."
Along with her ability to drive rapid sales growth and shareholder value in fast-paced technology companies, Schulz has helped build several innovative software startups. Before joining GoGrid, she held executive positions at leading high-tech security companies, including nCipher, PGP, RSA Security, Symantec, and Thales ISS. She has also filled key product marketing and management roles at ADI Software, Persistence Software, Xcert International, and Xerox.
VP of Global Sales Dave Smith is responsible for GoGrid's global sales organization, where his ability to steer complex sales organizations and to launch new business strategies for both startups and midsize companies should prove valuable. "GoGrid is pioneering one of the most fundamental shifts in technology," Smith says. "GoGrid knows how to innovate, drive customer adoption, and be a leader in the cloud marketplace. Previously, Smith was Senior VP of Global Sales for EdgeWave, a leading secure content management solutions provider. While at EdgeWave, he helped grow the company's commercial business in only 9 months and double the sales of a newly acquired software-as-a-service (SaaS) email security product. Prior to EdgeWave, Smith was VP Sales and General Manager for FrontRange, successfully growing the company's revenues prior to its acquisition by Francisco Partners. He has also held senior sales positions at 3COM, culminating in VP Americas Sales & Service, and was Area Sales Director for Oracle.
