GoGrid’s cloud hosting platform provides automated provisioning of infrastructure over the Internet. You can provision and scale virtual and physical servers, storage, networking, load balancing, and firewalls in real time across multiple data centers using a web-based management console or GoGrid’s API. GoGrid infrastructure is ideal if you need instant access to highly available multi-server environments. You can access and operate it using standard network protocols and IP addresses—no new technical skills or specialized equipment are required.
GoGrid Cloud Servers are preconfigured and let you get up and running instantly. GoGrid maintains a variety of Windows and Linux server images in various sizes to meet a range of needs.
GoGrid firewall options are more robust than those of any other cloud provider. You can choose from software-based firewalls or a variety of managed firewall services.
With GoGrid Load Balancers, you can build fault tolerance into your network so the load is distributed across resources.
GoGrid Cloud Storage is available on-demand and is instantly scalable. Provisioning takes just a few clicks through our web-based management console.
Although there are no charges for simply creating a GoGrid account, your cloud hosting charges will vary depending on the services you use. Typical charges include cloud server usage and outbound data transfer usage charges. For example, a pay-as-you-go customer might deploy an extra-small (.5 GB) cloud server that costs $.04 per hour, and transfer from the server would cost as little as $.08 per GB outbound.

TRADITIONAL VS. CLOUD
|Traditional Hosting||Cloud Infrastructure|
|With traditional hardware, you must buy based on your peak traffic periods, incur up-front capital expenditures, and maintain your investment over time. Provisioning traditional infrastructure can take weeks to months, and because your business is dynamic, predicting the necessary amount of infrastructure can be difficult. Most important, trying to hit the sweet spot without overspending or under-provisioning is risky.||By deploying infrastructure in the GoGrid cloud, you can reduce the time required from months to minutes. With this approach, you not only eliminate the up-front fixed investment, but you only pay for the resources actually used. This approach gives you more control over your IT resources and lets you meet peak loads with on-demand scalability.|
