Management Console
GoGrid’s management console enables point-and-click management of your entire data center. Everything you need to manage and provision infrastructure is available to you through a web browser from anywhere in the world. So, whether you’re traveling and get a phone call that Marketing needs a server, discover your eCommerce site is seeing increased demand over the holidays, or learn your Facebook app suddenly went viral, it’s no problem. You can easily provision the compute, network, and storage resources you need the instant you need them—all through the management console.

Personal Server Images (MyGSIs)
MyGSI is an easy-to-use, point-and-click service that lets you take a save a copy of a server you’ve customized to create a personalized GoGrid Server Image (GSI). We call this personalized image a MyGSI. Each MyGSI acts like a “golden image” and contains your pre-configured and customized applications as well as the server operating system. You can store a MyGSI in GoGrid’s Cloud Storage and then retrieve the image to deploy any number of Cloud Servers.
Vertical RAM scaling
Vertical RAM scaling of your Cloud Servers from within the management console provides a simple tool you can use for fast and easy Cloud Server scaling. Just point and click to dynamically scale your Cloud Server’s RAM on-demand. Whether you’ve outgrown your current cloud server or you experience a sudden traffic spike, a faster, more robust Cloud Server is only two clicks away.
Usage tracking
Some cloud providers leave you guessing how many hours you’ve had a particular server deployed or wondering how much data transfer or storage you’ve used. In comparison, GoGrid offers access to self-service usage tracking tools that show exactly what you’ve used. Usage reports are flexible, and you can even download a CVS report that lets you export your data at will.
Role-based access control
You control both who has access to your GoGrid account and how much access each person has. Plus, you can separate users into various roles such as billing users, system users, and read-only users.
Open API
GoGrid’s REST-like API interface is designed for individuals who want to programmatically control their cloud hosting infrastructure over the Internet. You can leverage the API to batch-deploy hundreds of servers at a time for auto-scaling of cloud servers, listing assigned public and private IP addresses, deleting Cloud Servers that aren’t being used, and even listing out usage details.
- REST-like query interface
GoGrid’s API is a REST-like query interface. GoGrid method calls are made over the Internet by sending HTTPS GET or POST requests to the API REST Server. You can use nearly any computer language to communicate over HTTPS with the REST server. Browse our Getting Started Guide for more documentation regarding making API calls.
Language resources
Because the API is REST-like, you can use just about any computer language. That means it supports a variety of languages such as Java, PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, C#, or even shell scripting languages such as bash.
Open Source
GoGrid’s API specification is now available under a Creative Commons Sharealike license, allowing any cloud computing service provider to build a compatible API based on this OpenSpec. Tools based on this OpenSpec standard can be used to control the GoGrid platform as well as the products of any other compatible cloud-computing providers.
iPhone App
GoGrid’s iPhone application places the true power of cloud computing literally in your hands by providing the ability to scale and control your GoGrid infrastructure directly from your iPhone.
- Touch and deploy
GoGrid’s iPhone app provides touch-based management of your infrastructure resources. You can use your iPhone to add, delete, restart, and access your Cloud Servers.
View account information
You can view account usage as well as access details such as user names and passwords, which are also shown in your GoGrid management console.
Job status and history
With GoGrid’s iPhone app, you can easily view the status of jobs and filter the job history as needed.
